Macromolecule-Metal Complexes
10–13 September 2005, Tirrenia (Pisa), Italy
The 11th IUPAC International Symposium on Macromolecule-Metal Complexes is the latest meeting in this series of symposia on macromolecule-metal complexes (MMC). They have been held every two years, in turn, in Asia, America, and in Europe.
MMC-11 Symposium Honorary Chairman Prof. Eishun Tsuchida and the Executive Chairmen Prof. Francesco Ciardelli and Prof. Rolando Barbucci are devoted to providing a forum for exploring the most recent advances in macromolecule-metal complexes. The conference program will cover biological aspects of MMC, synthesis, characterization and environmental applications, and wide-ranging technologies such as opto-electronic and magnetic devices, alternative processes of energy conversion, sensors, catalysis, and microelectronics. The conference will be based on invited lectures, oral communications, and posters.
The scientific topics will cover the following areas:
• Biological Aspects of Natural MMC
• Synthesis, Formation and Characterization
• Environmental Applications
• Binding of Small Molecules, Sensors
• Catalysis and Photocatalysis
• Conductivity, Photoconductivity, Ionic Conductivity
• MMC for Electronic, Optical, and Magnetic Applications
• MMC in Alternative Processes of Energy Conversion Approximately 20 invited lectures are planned for the symposium and about 200 scientists from all over the world are expected to attend. Those who wish to participate and/or to present contributions are kindly requested to complete the preliminary registration form. For oral or poster presentation, the submission of a one-page abstract is requested for confidential examination by the Scientific Committee. Copies of the abstracts will not be distributed among participants.
The deadline for abstract submission and for registration is 15 March 2005. See calendar for contact information www.dcci.unipi.it/~bea/mmc-11
